From a meet-cute in RiNo to wedded bliss at Hotel Born
After being introduced by a particularly savvy wingman at RiNo bar The Matchbox, an immediate connection spawned a 3-hour conversation between Maggie and David, and they’ve been together ever since. Though they knew they wanted to have their wedding in Denver before embarking on a big move to Seattle for Maggie’s job, it took a lot of looking around before they landed on Hotel Born as the perfect destination for their dream wedding.
After a moving ceremony at Downtown Denver’s Holy Ghost Church, the newlyweds and their guests were ready to get their party on with cocktails in the Apres Foyer and a reception in the Aspen Ballroom. With the help of their Hotel Born wedding coordinator, Erica, they transformed the ballroom into an atmosphere of moody romance using dark fall colors for the florals, crystal candelabras and real burning candles throughout the space. “The backdrop of the wood paneling and the amazing carpet were a perfect start to our look. We wouldn’t have been able to accomplish it anywhere else. It was perfection!”
After an evening filled with drinks, dancing and catering by Citizen Rail that resulted in “by far the best food at a wedding I have ever had,” the couple retired to Hotel Born’s Bridal Suite to celebrate their first night as husband and wife and the adventures that lay ahead.
