A wedding rich in personal touches
Margaret and Chris’s path to a Hotel Born wedding started with frequent visits to one of their favorite restaurants – our on-property restaurant Citizen Rail. In fact, it’s where they celebrated after getting engaged. Not wanting a “typical hotel wedding,” what cemented Hotel Born as the perfect place was the twosome’s immediate connection to the look and feel of the hotel, from the lobby to the event spaces. Oh, and most importantly, that Born would welcome an unconventional ring bearer—their French bulldog Babar.
In partnership with their beloved (and extremely game) onsite coordinator Brittney, the couple were able to create a unique and personal celestial-themed wedding with a series of clever nods to sci-fi and fantasy. The ceremony took place in the Après Foyer outside the Aspen Ballroom , with vows in front of a custom arch made by a groomsman and decorated by their florist, Plum Sage. The reception was catered by the team at Citizen Rail and DJ Ian Mahan brought everyone to their feet on the dance floor. Many of the homemade touches, from the stationary to the table numbers to the favors and beyond were crafted by the bride herself. “Not only did the hotel go along with so much customization, it was encouraged!” the couple told us.
